ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Meet Cecilia Nwankwo
Founder & Creative Director, Ciscacecil
I grew up surrounded by strong, loving women, three sisters and a family that held each other up, and that environment shaped everything I would eventually create. After studying Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Lagos, I took a path that felt more like a calling than a career decision. Fashion had always been the language I understood best, and eventually, I stopped ignoring it.
What began as a bespoke service in 2017, officially registered in 2019, has grown into Ciscacecil, a brand named after the two women who made me: my grandmother Cecilia and my mother Francisca. In 2020, the vision expanded into ready to wear, clothing for real women, living real lives, every single day. Her strength, resilience, and perseverance are woven into every piece we create. A brand built in Lagos, worn across the world, and rooted in one belief: that every woman deserves to feel confident, seen, and completely herself.
